moulin rouge

In class, we watched the wonderful movie moulin rouge.  I thought it was a great movie and it had very effective graffics linking the old times with the modern times.  I think it was made that way so everyone would understand the story better and help connect it to our own lives today.  Overall, it was one of my favorite movies that i enjoyed watching.

Laurie Anderson

Although best known as a multimedia, performance and recording artist, Laurie Anderson has experimented with every kind of art imaginable during her career. She is a composer, dancer, film director, music producer, photographer, poet, sculptor, ventriloquist, violinist, vocalist, writer, and high tech-freak. Unlike many other performance artists who never break out of their niche groups of art-worshippers and freaks, Laurie Anderson achieved an amazing popularity with her multimedia performance art in the United States and around the world. She is a remarkable women that has done much in her life and on her journey she touched the hearts of many people.

Koyaanisqatsi

The movie Koyaanisaqatsi was very interesting. It showed vivid images of nature and every day life with powerful music. In my opinion, I thought it could use a little action and or used a different song. I think it was a little boring, but still bearable. Overall, it was good movie.

Tell a Story

Today we listened to everyones music projects and this is what i think.

Tesa's group

Their group did the Pokemon song which i thought was awesome. I liked how they thought of something different. I thought it was a very good piece.

Devin's group

Devon's group made their own rap which I thought was really cool. I thought it was interesting and I enoyed listening to it.

Jeff's group

His group also rapped but it was a funny song and it talked about their senior life in a way I haven't heard before and I thought it was pretty cool.

Santiago's group

Him and his friend made their own song without any words. I liked it alot but I think it would be better if they put words to the music.

Kat's group

She did a piece with her friend and they sang an old country song and I thought it was cool because they did something out of the ordinary and tryed something very different.

Overall I thought everyone did a good job and I look forward to seeing everyone's music video !

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

In class, we watched a movie called The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. I thought it was a remarkable movie. It had great camera effects with a very touching story. Just watching it made me want to read the book. I think it was wonderful and that we should watch more movies like this.
